# 7 Print your myspace name on some old fashioned A6 paper flyers
This is a slight spin on #2: Add your myspace name to a flyer distributed in a trendy bar in Shoreditch ... anyway a cheap way of promoting a band or gig or club night is the old fashioned A6 paper flyer. Here's a couple of examples where there's the added 21st Century Digital Lifestyle twist of a myspace name added on - picked them both up in Bar Music Hall in Shoreditch.
First up is a band called Miss King and the Kourgars advertising a gig - which is on TONIGHT (15th May) in London. Interestingly, although they have their own website with a flash interface and quite a lot of content on it they haven't even promoted it on the flyer - it's all about the myspace profile.
Second up is The Rum Circus who are promoting a gig on 27th May at Clockwork Pentonville Road. Less emphasis on the myspace account here - they also have an amazing flash website at www.rumcircus.com. Update: Rum Circus say
"The Rum Circus think that myspace is a brilliant way of promoting. However, it seems that the old fashioned flyer attack is still worth doing!"
Again - what myspace needs is the digital version of an A6 handflyer - a quick and dirty way to get mobile information and alerts - watch this space...
